A Collection of Stuffed Shih Tzus

The Shih Tzu comes from the Far East. Early accounts make it very hard to distinguish them from the Lhasa Apso or Pekingese. The first recorded importation to Britain was in 1931, and this dog was shown with the Lhasa Apsos. They arrived in America in 1938 where they were also registered as Lhasa Apsos. In 1940 they were recognized as a separate breed. They are extemely sturdy for a small dog, easy to keep and have a wonderful personality. Eager to play and almost human as a household companion, the Shih Tzu has gained in popularity.
