This bear is named after one of Margarete Steiff's nephews, Franz Steiff, who invented the "Button in Ear" trademark a century ago, in 1904. This very special Steiff Club bear comes with a wood and brass seal stamper featuring the original Steiff elephant trademark. If you look very closely at the elephant design on the seal stamper, you will notice that the curve of the trunk forms a tiny "S" for Steiff. Franz is lovingly made from the finest blonde mohair and is five ways jointed. Soft beige felt has been used to line his paws and the soles of his feet. A club edition for 2004. Embroidered bag.
