Buffalo

Buffalo belong to the bovine family and are related to oxen. The most familiar buffalo are the Water Buffalo and the Cape Buffalo. A full-grown Cape Buffalo can weigh 3000 pounds and stand five feet tall at the shoulder. He is considered a very dangerous trophy animal. His horns may spread four feet across and are very sharp. The Cape Buffalo lives in Africa where he travels in large herds. See also: Bison.
